This was a good time, just not long enough; so I watched it twice :). Wishing for Hitch, wife and kids the best outcome. Sorrow fills me when I imagine the planet without him, so I try not to.

Marilyn, I suspect that Hitch knows the Bible even better than you as he can usually quote chapter and verse from memory.
Even that though hasn't dulled his faculties enough to prevent him spotting the glaring hole in the 2 Peter argument.
We're not making this up, we were eye witnesses.
Have you considered that maybe they were also making up the claim that they weren't making up the story of Christ's life?
Of course he is familiar with the book. It's not convincing in the slightest.

Read Mr. Hitchens' book "God Is Not Great: Why Religion Poisons Everything", then go to his "Portable Atheist". You really should not comment on the whys and wherefores of Mr. Hitchens' disbelief without knowing his writing.
I was interested to hear the 60 MInutes interview. I am not familiar with your work but you are apparently famous for denying the existence of God. Since surely you would not presume to critique Christianity without being familiar with the Book (Holy Scripture, the Old & New Testament), you might want to recall 2 Peter, where the author asserts that we did not make this stuff up, but we were eyewitnesses. Also 1 Corinthians, where Paul talks about how this Good News is certainly a stumbling block and foolishness to some. Read it for yourself. Interesting coincidence that these passages have been part of the Revised Common Lectionary for the past couple of weeks, the readings for a good chunk of Christians around the world.
